Max Walker

Principal HSE Consultant - BSc, IRCA ISM / ISO Lead Auditor, IOSH Accident Investigator 

Max has over 10 years of Maritime and Regulatory Safety experience, including sea going service onboard a variety of different type of vessels. Max is a holder of UK OOW CoC and a fully trained ISM & ISO Maritime lead auditor who has conducted Flag State DOC and SMC audits of various shipping companies. Max has detailed knowledge of integrated management systems including ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, ISM Code and MOSS NZ Domestic Maritime Legislation. 

 

Max's industry knowledge, experience and expertise is highly sought after in New Zealand and further afield, currently Max expertise in safety systems auditing see's him regularly travel internationally. Max brings a cheerful persona, professionalism, dedication, commitment, experience and regulatory understanding to any HSE role.

Max's experience has seen him involved with a wide variety of interesting and complex projects and jobs including:

  • Holds international IRCA Lead Auditor accreditation for ISM Code

  • P&I and Insurance work for Maritime Clients including expert witness

  • Development and delivery of safety auditor training courses for government regulatory agencies 

  • Maritime Safety and Environmental Audits for clients in Australia, UK, China, PNG, NZ, Oman & UAE

  • Incident response and regulatory investigations involved with serious accidents/incidents 

  • Flag State Maritime Safety Auditor & Warranted Health & Safety Inspector

  • QHSE Shore based roles including duties as DPA & CSO

Ritchie Bower

Principal HSE Consultant - DipOHS, AFOH, MIIRSM, ISM / ISO Lead Auditor

Ritchie has extensive safety, security & risk management experience in high risk industries worldwide. Ritchie's career started over 20 years ago in HM Armed Forces (Army). Since then Ritchie has worked in safety, security and response roles in some of the worlds harshest work environments both onshore and offshore.

 

Ritchie is a trained accident investigator and former warranted health & safety inspector who has managed serious / fatal accident investigations. Ritchie is a Full Professional Member of the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management.

 

Ritchie's experience has seen him involved with a wide variety of interesting and complex projects and jobs including:

  • Montara, West Atlas Wreck Removal, Occupational Hygiene Services 

  • Chevron, Barrow Island Gorgon Project, ISM Audits and Vessel Safety Management 

  • Dept of Defence, Asbestos Survey Program, Project Director 

  • Woodside North Rankin Hub Expansion Project, Offshore HSE Advisor 

  • Rio Tinto Tom Price Minesite, Site Safety Audits

  • HMC Hermod, Project Occupational Hygiene Director
